A quick attempt to draw Big Barda. Whenever another of Chris Samnee‘s sketches pops up in my feedreader i’m motivated to try one more sketch myself. But damn that guy makes it look so easy!
I never really did much vehicle-sketches, unfortunately it shows. Have to practice more.
I tried coloring it, but i’m just not comfortable with that. I prefer to start with color from the beginning if i want to have a color illustration/sketch at the end.
Alright, procrastination ends now. Start working on the portfolio and do some fancy category images. There… done the first. I guess i should think about the concept one more time.
I should be going through my stuff and putting together a new portfolio, but instead i did 7hours of creature sketches straight. Now i need a break, maybe i’ll work on the portfolio afterwards. I whish there was a job/project where i would get paid for doing stuff like this. If you got a hint for me, write me please. Earlier today i learned about scribbler, a neat little flash-app. I love it. It makes my crappy little porn drawings less pornographic and much more artsy. And i didn’t have to improve my drawings skills a single bit for it. And didn’t even learn the program, i have no clue what the settings do, i just draw. It’s awesome. MOMA here i come.
I’m experimenting with a style for a new card game. Ignore the textframes, they’re just placeholders. This version is better than what i came up with yesterday evening, but i’m not happy with it just yet. I’ll have to take it for another round.
Saw a rough concept of a cover over at boardgamegeek and decided to make a speedpainting out of it. Giving the Photoshop-Brush i mentioned 2 days ago another try.
