I’ve mostly been doing lineart based artwork for the past 6-7months and felt like doing something different for a bit. So i finished this painting over the weekend and started another one which maybe i’ll finish next weekend. I still feel rusty and I’m not totally happy with this one, but i’ve never been happy with anything i’ve done and Maike says it’s ok to show it 😉
While Manga Studio now is easily the number one software for drawing i use, painting still doesn’t work as fluently for me. I can’t get the brushes to behave the way i want and therefore it all takes a good while longer and doesn’t look the way i want it to. But with enough effort put into it, it might work.
Wie gestern bereits gesagt, habe ich auch für dieses Bild Sargents Chess Game als Referenz benutzt, aber nicht nur das. Hier meine für das Bild angelegte Referenzpinnwand. Neben Sargent finden sich darauf auch mehrere Werke von Peder Mork Monsted, John William Waterhouse und Ruan Jia. Die beiden Fotografien von asiatischen Frauen sind aus der Google-Bilder Suche entnommen, leider ohne Urheberangaben. Ach ja und rechts bin ich.
