If you’re following the game “Call to Arms” on Steam then you might have noticed in the past few days that the header-images for the Call to Arms developer/community-updates have changed as well as the new facebook-profile-images for the CtA-facebook page. I was commissioned to create these artworks which will also be featured in the game. I was provided with renders of the vehicle-ingame-models, i changed colors and manipulated the lighting in Photoshop, put some […]
Added another item to my portfolio. This time it’s three boards that i did for “Penny” which i had the chance to work on while working at & for berlin based studio “Bitteschön.TV“. Here are a couple of roughs for the boards which you can have a look at at my portfolio
I just posted a bunch of pictures on my portfolio. If you’re interested in finding out what this is all about, head over there and take a look.
An illustration i did for the comic book shelf of Thomas.
Early in 2012 i had the chance to do some character sketches for a game that became Royal Revolt by Keen Games. However i worked for Karakter Concepts, not Keen themselves. To be frank, i blew the job. Even though the suggestions i made and arguments i raised were valid, i missed the clients expectations. I explored, explained, suggested… but in the end Tobias Mannewitz did three little sketches that immediately got the clients approval. […]
I just learned that the new active O2 spot has been out for a while and is not well received. Fortunately enough while I did do some work for an active O2-spot, the agency i did it for isn’t responsible for the spot. I really hope though that it wasn’t because of my illustrations that they lost the pitch!
My last and latest job for Bigpoint. At the end of last year right before the holidays i was asked to produce another promovisual for one of Bigpoints games. Unfortunately there was some time pressure on the piece and i had already been booked for another job for the first weeks of january, so i had to give it out of hands before i was able to finish it to my personal liking. As you […]
Since the game has been shown and sold at Origins, i guess i can show the illustrations now. Haiko and i first spoke about the project at the end of 2011 when i was on my christmas/new years-tour through germany, visiting friends and family. In that initial talk we exchanged ideas about the theme, the look of the game and already settled for not showing characters but vehicles. When it came to the style of […]
Originally intented to be a guiding sketch for 3D-artists to build upon it ended up being used almost exactly like this on the website. Only after launch the team found the time to iterate and improve. But the visual never got finished the way it was intended to be done. A great help and providing basis for my quick color work was the character-sketches Aaron had done. Aaron’s a great concept artist, go see his […]
Some Banner-Sketches for BSGO from when i was with Bigpoint. Never went any further. One of the few times i got to work on images. I still like number 03.
